Who invented breakdancing? – Shakira Belly Dancing On Super Bowl Video Highlights

A lot has been written about how the art form of breakdancing originated in the American South and then took several more different paths. One of the more popular and popular among all of them was called “swinging” and was actually invented by a group of people in California called “The Bachelors’. They were a club for gentlemen, and they actually called these men “Mr. and Mrs. Swings”. It was a very popular art form back in the day, and it is still going strong today.

You can read all of these great articles on our Bachelors of Swinging Site; all written by Michael T. O’Meara, who is a friend of mine and a great author of books on breakdancing. We have an entire section on it here too and he has a fantastic article there that you should definitely check out.

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard music quite as rich and musical as this, it sounds like everyone on Earth has some kind of “Beatles freak” in their lives at one point or another.

The whole “bachelors of swing” club was started by Dr. David “Dr. Michael” McShane, who has written a few articles about breakdancing with a little bit more humor than most. You can listen to a really great interview or two from his article entitled “A Breakdancing History of America” at the end of this post.

If you’re interested in reading all of Dr. Michael’s work, you should get yourself an actual copy of the Encyclopedia of Breakdancing in America at Amazon.com. You can buy the book and even watch the DVD at the link to the right.

If you look closely at some of the illustrations in the book, it looks like a lot might be involved to even get through the pages. I haven’t seen it yet, but I can tell you that Michael’s book looks like it might
