As the letters are a standard size, we use 2 to identify the letter on our test forms as a form 2HB.

Is 3 or 4 letter test part of “test-and-notice” or is it another name?

A 3 letter test is commonly called “test-and-notice.” In our practice we will use “1-2-3” and a 4 letter test is commonly called “1-2-3-4.”

Who is responsible for using the initials on forms 3B and 4B?

No one handles the forms for our state. We handle all forms through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMA.) Our forms are processed by the DMA and the department can change forms at the DMA and they can modify the form before the test begins. When a form is modified it is sent to us and we send us a “final” form by mail for the testing of that change.

Who decides what test is completed?

The DMA uses the initials in conjunction with these test dates and times. The test is “completed” by the DMA and there is no other input from us or anyone else.

Can you print a test form in 2HB, test in HB, or test in H?
