That’s art history. That’s all you have to know, really.

Here is a very important thing, which is not taught in art schools anymore. You have the painting of a portrait, I mean something like that, you want it as beautiful as possible. So how do you go around the brush and create a beautiful painting? Well, you use a thin brush with a thin, flat line. If you don’t do this, when you paint, when you brush, and you say, “Oh, here’s this little piece of it,” what you are gonna get is two little parts of the photo. You get all little bits of it. And you see, when I am painting, you see the paint on the brush.
