There are many factors that can contribute to a drawing being more than just a collection of words and lines. These include:
How large, detailed, or specific the drawing is.
How detailed a drawing is.
How well or poorly the artist managed to express the subject in the drawing. (An illustrator’s job is usually to capture the audience’s attention, not to describe an object)

All of these elements can add up to make a drawing more than just a collection of words and lines. In most cases, the better the artist is able to show the viewer the meaning of a drawing, the more impressive it will be and the more likely they’ll be to buy it. Here are a few tips for helping a professional draw your picture perfectly:
Find the right balance between how much detail can be seen and how much can be seen. The more detail you have in your drawing, the better it will be.
Learn how to take notes. There’s no need to write down the whole drawing to avoid getting distracted by things people will notice later.
Read every drawing. Read every drawing to find out what the artist drew and how it felt. It may help you to recognize patterns when you watch videos of famous illustrators.
When you do purchase a drawing, make sure you understand what kind of drawings you’ve seen from top illustrators. This will give you a better idea of what kind of drawing professional illustrators can put together. If your art is not of high quality, or you’re not satisfied with your purchase in any way, it’s best to call your local art store right away and get a refund. And when you do get a good drawing (if not a first-rate design), ask if the artist has done anything else with it. As with art supplies in general, the better the artist, the better the illustration.
